I’ve neglected my Domain Mirror plugin lately, so to try and support it a little better I’ve added a forum to this site. Register if you want to keep up with (or help) with developments.

I’ve finally gotten around to upgrading my site to WordPress 2.6.1 and was expecting to have problems. I had a big comment queue about problems with with my Domain Mirror plugin and Wordpress 2.6, but haven’t had the time to sort it out (sorry). But now I’m running 2.6.1 and I’m not seeing any problems.

This is long overdue, but I’ve just uploaded a fix to get DomianMirror working with WordPress 2.3. Thanks to SecondeVue for that. It’s currently just a new version of WP-DomainMirror.php, so you need to replace that one file and you should be back in business. The zip file was created on a Mac so Widows users will see some other files in there - these can be ignored. I’ll put together a full archive tomorrow.

Earlier in the year I went looking for a domain name that was a little easier to spell than McAleavy.org and bought LightPainting.org with the intention of using it as an alternative domain for this site. Initially I set up a redirect from the new domain to the old one, but decided that it would be better if the site changed it’s name based on where it was accessed from - so I set up both domains to point to this site directly. Unfortunately Wordpress doesn’t handle this very well as the site name and URLs are part of the site’s configuration. As I couldn’t find an existing plugin to fix this problem, I wrote one.
